Crimes against wisdom

I think that most of us know what we should be doing to live a healthy radiant life; exercise, meditate, drink more water, less screen time, nutrient dense food etc.

And yet we still commit crimes against wisdom. Prajnaparadha is the Sanskrit word for this.

In my experience, when I’m working closely with a mentor, teacher, or coach I am full of inspiration and practicing with vigour.

When I am in my daily hustle and grind, it is easy to let these practices go.

This is a big part of why the yoga tradition recognises having a guru (literally ‘remover of darkness’) is a non-negotiable. Guru status has no doubt gone through a lot of scrutiny over recent years, and for very good reason (I recommend looking at the latest edition of the book Yoni Shakti to find out why). But this doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t be looking towards elders and mentors to guide us.

Unfortunately the way that our society is structured, there is not a surplus of wise elders surrounding us and inspiring us to stay strong in our personal practices.

And so this is why I have created Studio Ojas.

Studio Ojas is your home for cultivating a long lasting relationship with the healing vidyas of yoga & Ayurveda.

Studio Ojas is an accessible way to receive that daily dose of wisdom to help to keep you on track. Where you have daily access to wellness experts at your fingertips.

We will share practices, and we will share WHY we are doing them.

Because if you are anything like me, you don’t like to waste your time. You want to know what the function is of a practice and why you are doing it.

I am definitely not positioning myself or any of the teachers on the platform here as “Gurus”. See us rather as big sisters and brothers sharing the wisdom of our teachers, lovingly keeping you on track.

All my love,

Cat x
